Hrauneyjar is situated at the edge of the country´s most impressive, and active volcanic area. There is a accommodation for 100 people in 54 double rooms. This is a great place to have a conference. At the Highlandcenter there is a nice restaurant, shop and petrol service. The Highlandcentre Hrauneyjar is a Icelandic Farm Holidays member number 670. The area is a winter paradise for snowcatting and cross-country skiing and there are marked walking paths in the neighbourhood. It is so close to many magnificant places, it is f.ex. only 25 km to Veiðivötn, 80 km to Þjórsárver, 25 km to Mt. Hekla. The Highlandcentre is open all the year. Daily from 7:30 to 24:00. Closed from 20. of December to 3. of January every year.
