Welcome to Heidarbaer - North east Iceland!

Heidarbaer in Reykjahverfi is between Husavik and Lake Myvatn, 17 km away from Husavik, at the road 87. At Heidarbaer there is a shop, restaurant, swimming pool, camping place and a sleeping-bag accommodation. From here it is not far to the main attractions of north-east Iceland, for example Myvatn, Godafoss, Asbyrgi, Jokulsargljufur og Laxa í Adaldalur.

Food - Our Menu at the Restaurant
On our menu you find main courses, for example grill meals as well as coffee and deserts. On Sundays there is a tea table at Heidarbaer. We ask for early reservation for big groups.

Sleeping Accommodations
The sleeping-bag accommodation is big enough for up to 30 people. Our guests sleep in a subdivided dermitory. There are also cooking facilities.

Swimming Pool in north east Iceland
Besides the swimming pool there are two hot-water pools and also good facilities for sunbathing. Open daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

Camping Place in north east Iceland
At Heidarbaer there is a camping place and a parking place for caravans and dormobiles. The sanitary facilities for the camping place are at Heidarbaer.

Fishing in north east Iceland
Fishing permits for the lakes Langavatn and Kringluvatn and the river Mýrarkvísl which are nearby, are available at Heidarbaer.
