The Inn’s owners have extensive experience in the travel industry and have organized horse rental and group riding tours – from day-long trips to week-long excursions – for years. The annual Princess and Viking Tours, unforgettable jaunts into the unknown, are specially designed for women and men respectively and have become quite popular.
Eldhestar offers only good and reliable horses, well suited for both beginners and more experience riders. On our longer tours three horses are provided for each rider. We can also organize additional non-riding experiences for those who wish it, such as bird-watching, geology walking tours, and historical walking tours.
According to the old tradition of horseback travelling in Iceland, extra horses are brought along so that one can change mounts if and when necessary, which makes the ride even more fun.
Ishestar offer treks through the spectacular landscape of Iceland. Weahter it's up into the highland wilderness areas, through the lovely farming country or on a short ride from a new Riding Centre in Hafnarfjordur, riding with Ishestar is always an adventure.
