The wild and untamed nightlife of Iceland, especially in Reykjavík is known world wide and famous for it's durability and ongoing parties. In Iceland nightlife means fun and entertainment, dance clubs, bars, parties, festivals, shows, restaurants, live music bands to mention but few and if the idea is to go out and have good old-fashioned fun Iceland is still a fine choice.

Nightlife in Reykjavik usually happens in pubs and nightclubs featuring dancing and/or live music. On weekends, unless you start before 9
PM, be prepared to wait in line to get in and there is sometimes some entrance fee, usually from 500 ISK to 1500 and most of the time a drink is included. Over the summer weekends and if the weather is good, Icelanders party en masse, usually around Laekjartorg, the so called Spring square, in the center of the oldest part of Reykjavík.
